Your hard work paid off. Nunaka Valley Elementary is no longer under consideration for closure next year.
Now the real work begins:
(A) Join us in supporting the kids, staff, and families of Nunaka Valley. We want to start an Community and Alumni Association.
(B) Advocate for the kids at Abbott Loop Elementary. We need accountability, transparency, and a robust transition plan for the students and families of this school.
(B) Multiple rounds of being on a closure list is extremely damaging to staff, students, and families. Write to the board and request a moratorium for the five other schools so that they won't be considered for closure again for at least three years.
(C) Advocate to the board for greater community involvement in the development of future budget solutions.
(D) Write to your legislator and the governor in support of an inflation-proofed Basic Student Allocation.
